Head of Construction Insurance & Claims

A leading specialist insurer is seeking a strategic and technically accomplished leader to head its Construction Insurance & Claims division. This is a high-impact role overseeing complex CAR/EAR, engineering, and infrastructure claims across the UK and international portfolios.
 
What You'll Do

• Lead a high-performing claims team across construction and specialist lines
• Oversee major loss investigations, coverage analysis, and resolution strategies
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and risk teams to shape portfolio performance
• Represent the business in market forums, client negotiations, and technical panels
• Drive operational excellence and regulatory compliance across the division

• Extensive experience in construction insurance and complex claims
• Strong technical knowledge of CAR/EAR, liability, and engineering risks
• Proven leadership in managing teams and strategic claims portfolios
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Professional qualifications (ACII, CILA, engineering) preferred

• Salary: Neg depending on experience
• Bonus: Up to 25%
